Gain hands on experience with various emerging technologies—including drone technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and more—this summer!
Our Workshops
For our workshops, no prerequisites/coding experience is required, unless otherwise specified. Our workshops are intended for students ages 10-17 years old. Workshops will take place from 9:00-11:00 AM CST for all days included. For example, the App Development with Swift workshop will last from 9:00-11:00 AM CST for both July 15 and July 16.
App Development With Swift
July 15-16
Learn how to code in the Swift programming language, and learn how to create a basic iOS app.
GAME DEVELOPMENT WITH JAVA
July 28-29
Learn how to code in the Java programming language as well as how to create your own clicker game.
Drone Flying
Session 1: July 22
Session 2: July 30
Learn how to safely fly a drone, mission planning using hardware and software tools, industry applications for unmanned aviation technology, and laws about drone operation. This will take place in the Bentonville West High School parking lot (1351 Gamble Rd, Centerton, AR 72719).
PROGRAMMING WITH PYTHON
Session 1: July 23-24
Session 2: August 4-5
Learn how to code in the Python programming language. NOTE: This workshop MUST be taken before taking the Artificial Intelligence workshop.
CYBERSECURITY
August 2-3
Learn various aspects of how cybersecurity applies to the digital world, cybersecurity’s connection to important data frameworks, common privacy issues, different types of cyber attacks/data breaches, and how to use various cybersecurity tools in an interactive manner.
Podcasting
July 27
Learn how to create and market your own podcast from experienced podcasters.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
August 9-10
Develop a solid understanding of deep learning fundamentals and build a piece of AI that can classify images of handwritten digits. NOTE: You must take one of the Programming With Python workshops in order to take the Artificial Intelligence workshop.
